Inland Empire Civil War Round Table
The Inland Empire Civil War Round Table is dedicated to the study, preservation, and discussion of American Civil War history. We host free public programs each month featuring distinguished guest speakers, historical scholars, and living historians who share deep-dive military and cultural presentations.
Our mission is to keep this critical era of history alive for the community through education, preservation fundraising, and regular assembly. Our bi-monthly in-person meetings are held on the third Sunday of the month, supplemented by dedicated virtual presentations streaming live via Zoom.
For Zoom links, regional Round Table program locations, and community outreach information, all regular meetings and digital schedules are completely free and open to the general public.

Our History
EST. 1986
The Founding of the Round Table
Founded four decades ago by a dedicated group of historical enthusiasts, the Inland Empire Civil War Round Table was established to foster a deeper understanding of the American Civil War era. What began as a small gathering of local scholars has grown into a vibrant community educational hub based in Redlands, California.

Q1. When and where are the monthly meetings held?
We meet monthly on Zoom, usually on the third Month of each month. Our in-person meetings are bi-monthly on the third Sunday. In-person meetings are held in the Assemble Room of the A.K. Smiley Public Library, 125 w. Vine street in Redlands, CA.
Q2. Do I need to be a member to attend a lecture?
No. All of our monthly guest lectures and regular roundtable discussions are completely free and open to the public. Guests are always welcome!
Q3. Is the Round Table only for history experts?
Not at all. Our community brings together a diverse mix of authors, educators, seasoned scholars, and general history enthusiasts alike. Anyone with an interest in the era is welcome to join.
Q4. Do I need to make a reservation for regular meetings?
No reservations are required for our standard monthly gatherings. You can simply show up, grab a seat, and enjoy the presentation.
Q5. Can I bring guests or family members?
Yes, our regular meetings are open to everyone. Feel free to bring family, friends, or anyone interested in learning more about Civil War history.
Q6. How do I officially become a member?
You can sign up to become an official member directly at our monthly meetings or by clicking the "Become a Member" link on our website to support our preservation work and legacy.
Q7. Do I need a ticket for the 40th Anniversary Symposium?
Yes. Unlike our free monthly meetings, the landmark 40th Anniversary Symposium is a special ticketed event. Registration must be secured in advance via our online ticket portal.
Q8. Can I access historical research documents or archives?
Yes, we actively support historical study. Members can access our curated research databases, shared document archives, and book reviews during scheduled hours or through our network.
